I am a physical chemist and gained a PhD in chemistry from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2019. I am extremely passionate about my subject and have been teaching university and pre-university level chemistry for five years.

Experience: My teaching work has involved supervising large undergraduate university laboratory classes with over 100 students, running tutorial chemistry workshops, writing problem sheets, teaching/lecturing in a classroom setting with medium sized groups of students, as well as extensive one-one-one private tutoring experience.

I aim to adapt each lesson to the needs, experience and required pace of the individual student. For example, I am able to teach and discuss key concepts and then walk the student though examples and practice questions, thereby putting the theory into context and helping to solidify their understanding. I am well practiced in communicating scientific ideas using a range of methods and am aware that frequently, different, or indeed a combination of approaches, are required for students to comprehend scientific concepts.
