Information about Haezreena Begum
I am a PhD student in Criminology and a lawyer by profession. I have been tutoring Criminology subjects for second and third year undergraduates at Victoria University of Wellington. I strive to create an intellectually stimulating environment and motivate my students to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking. I believe that clear, open communication with students is a key element in helping them learn.
Availability: Below are my available times:
Monday and Wednesday (10 - 7 pm)
Tue, Thurs, Friday (6 - 9 pm)
I am available from 10 - 6 pm on weekdays from 1 st November 2019.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Throughout my four years of experience as a PhD student, I worked at Victoria University as a part-time Tutor (200 and 300 level course) and Teaching Fellow (300 level course) and found it very enjoyable and interesting. Many of my students were from the Law, Criminology, Sociology, Social Policy, Politics and other disciplines and found it very easy to communicate with them. Some of my students in my former class have commented on how my teaching has changed the way they think about justice and how imprisonment may not help to reduce recidivism and social problems.
