I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 3. I am now retired but devoted most of my hours throughout my life to teaching, childcare and my personal fitness. I also travelled extensively through the UK, Europe and Southeast Asia.

Experience: I have taught in many secondary schools in NZ from Rangiora to Murupara, to Gisborne, Ohakune, Palmerston North, north Auckland, Upper Hutt. I have been an assistant teacher, assistant HOD, Year 13 Dean and HOD English at 2 large schools. I have directed 12 full-length plays, edited the school Yearbook at 2 different schools, arranged school balls, Year-level field trips, international festivals, and in-service training for teachers from other schools. As a Year 1 teacher I was appointed as secretary of the North Canterbury District English Syllabus Committee so I was immediately made aware of the different styles of teaching and assessing students.
